Tigers JFC Helping Rainham Food Bank

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.
In the next few weeks, Tigers Junior Football Club are looking to our members to donate food and gifts towards the local foodbank based in Rainham.
Our aim is to provide food and gifts to help those people or families who are struggling at this time of the year.
We are requesting that any donations are brought to training or matches on the weekend and given to one of the Tigers committee situated in or by the clubhouse next to Bretons Manor.
Donations will be taken on Saturday / Sunday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 2019 from 10am – 12 midday.
All food items should be non-perishable goods with a long shelf life (no fresh fruit and veg produce)
Example Items that they have suggested:-
Chocolates / Sweets / Xmas Puddings / Bags of nuts / Tined ham / toiletry gift sets / tins of fruit / tinned custard / tinned rice pudding / sugar for baking / mince pies / tins of fish / tinned vegetables / tins of potatoes / long life milk / dilatable fruit juices (fruit squash) / biscuits /pots of Christmas sauces / Shower gel / toothpaste / toilet paper.
We are also recommending any new toys or gifts that can be given as Christmas presents.
Any donations will be greatly received and we would request that you bring any donations in a plastic bag which will also be passed onto the charity.
